The Enemy Within
Flip Wilson may have popularized the phrase “The Devil made me do it!”, but the sad reality for most of us (if we’re honest) is that we don’t really need the Devil’s help to do wrong. We are drawn to it all by ourselves. Sure, he helps “push us over the edge” but as James 1:14 reminds us, “each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.” So how do we get our out-of-control desires in check? I’ll be exploring this subject (hopefully) over the next several weeks.
